Hats were used in the past to indicate social status, but now it indicates how great or bad you dress. It's spring time soon to be summer, we are all waiting for the vacations so we can run to the beach and enjoy the sun, like a boss. So what I'm going to do next is try to explain which hats you should use.

It's simple, don't use the square looklikemafiashitm they have never been nice, just DON'T.

Now that we know what you shouldn't use, lets show which kind of hats are totally in and match almost everyone. These 3 are really usefull, mainly for beach and hot places.

Now there is a kind of hat that is friend of all: the Straw Paper Panama Hat

Oh, if you want to wear a hat in the night or in a cold place you better use one like this:

I think the feathers give it a really cool aspect, don't you think?

So there you have it, match it with shorts and fresh shirts, and you are set.

In 1908 one guy called Marquis Mills Converses created some sort of shoes that were so confortable and cassual to everybody, he quickly won a lot of followers. No surprise those sort of shoes are now worldwide and there is no single person in this world who doesn't know them. The converses.

Whatsoever I don't wanna talk about them, and of course I ain't telling you to use them, because I'm sure you have at least one pair.

This entrance -its been a while, sorry- is for those who live in a rainny city, just like me bogota representig!, and loves those kind of shoes. Probably you can't use them a lot because they get wet eassily and that's freaking annoying. But our friends of the converse factory made something so cool for us... leather converse boots.

They are the perfect shoes for everyday, they match with everything and they are übercool!.

Lavin for H&M

H&M is the Swedish store that everybody loves. You can find it in most of the European/American cities. But I don't think H&M needs an introduction.

This store has already collaborated with big designers such as Jimmy Choo and Mathew Williamson, but this Fall/Winter is Lanvin's time. Alber Elbaz projected his fashion sense on this campaign full of carnality, fun and high heels.

Accesories.

I always mention accesories but I never dedicated a post about them. Im gonna do it now just because I love them.

You can have the best cloth you can ask for. Ermenegildo Zegna shoes, Dolce & Gabanna jeans, Lanvin shirt and Burberry Jacket… they may look great, but not amazing. That’s why you need accesories.

The quantity of accesories depends on the occasion, you shall not wear 20 accesories if you are using a suit. Just no.

I already said that there are no problems with using lots of accesories as long as you know how to mix them. 

Necklaces look better if they have a long chain and a nice pendant. I’d rather use a big pendant than a little one, but it is your choice.

Now, bracelets: I recommend to mix some big bracelets with some littles. A big NO NO are those tissues bracelets that look like taken from an amazonian indigenous, big difference between Tribal and, well… rival. You can also add to your wrist a classic gold Casio, just to have that golden touch.

And we can be edgy and add a little more to that hand: rings. But using rings is delicate, you have to really know how to place it and if you are going to use more than 1 is better to avoid looking like a crazy emo.

A hat will fit perfectly fit even if it’s either raining or sunny, because hats are for every occasion.

I’m one of those who criticize people who use glasses and they have no eyeproblems. But you are free. So for those people who use glasses you MUST throw away the metal-made kind of glasses and change them for plastic-geek-alike ones.

And to defeat sun (or at least look great when there is too much) you should use well-made sunglasses. Who is better in making sunglasses than RayBan? (in an affordable price). Don’t throw away your classics (really popular) Wayfarers or Aviator, they will always fit. But say HELLO! to new kinds of sunglasses that are just taking it.

There you have it. Accesories are as vital as clothes.

Oversized is hotter than tight.

What I seriously love about fashion is that one day something is ON and next day the total oposite thing is even more ON. I’m mentioning that because few months ago it was like HAWT using tight shirts, but now you can see that changed.

So, I’m incurring you to use oversized (not rapper or hiphoper) cool shirts:

Don’t be affraid of looking fat, I can say that using bigger shirts makes you look skinnier, and the Olsen sisters can agree with me in that!

You can always fit a perfect oversized with a casual blazer (I hate when people say blazers are too formal, don’t you?) or a light cardigan

I recommend to use skinny jeans, looks better when the top is big and the bottom is tight, just saying. Perhaps some carrot jeans, you know, just to break the pattern.

Feel free to use as many accesories you want (we already talk about that).

And the shoes, well.. be creative.

Denim.

It took me quite long to understand how in hell should I wearDenim. Not a secret that denim was quite famous in 80s and 90s, but not so much at the beginning of the century. Now it’s back and ready to rock.

It isn’t difficult to wear a Jean (duh), the hard thing is how to wear a denim shirt or jacket, so I’ll try to help a little. If you are wearing a denim shirt-jacket make sure its color is way ligther or darker than the jean so you can have balance. We don’t want you to look like a onecolorteletubbie. I think it’s better to have a white t-shirt underneath the shirt or jacket. Too much denim can break some eyes, I want you to break some hearts :). 

So, the million dolars question: What if I want to wear a Denim Jacket, Denim Shirt and Jeans?. Easy: NO!. But I have 2 good alternatives for that:

1- Leather Jacket

2- Military Jacket

Casual, cool and fresh. Now you see?, it is not that difficult to wear denim.
